Akshay has been working for SIG since May 2016 as part of the Southeast Asia venture capital team based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining SIG, Akshay began his career in Manulife’s asset management division where as part of the strategy team, he worked on and led several M&As, restructurings, new market entries and digital transformation initiatives across Asia Pacific.
Akshay received his BA in economics from Grinnell College in 2012. He is also an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community and was recognized by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 venture capital list in 2019.
