Hendrik joined Susquehanna Asia VC in 2023 to help build the firm’s private equity business in Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Susquehanna Asia VC, Hendrik had over 25 years of experience in venture capital and private equity in the U.S. and Southeast Asia. Most recently, he was Chief Investment Officer and President of Financial Services of Traveloka, the leading Southeast Asian travel and leisure unicorn, where he led strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A. He also led Ancora Capital, one of the original Indonesian private equity firms. In the U.S., Hendrik was at IDG Ventures in San Francisco, investing in tech startups, and at GTI Group in New York, a family office, investing in both early-stage and growth equity opportunities globally.
Hendrik started his career at Goldman Sachs in New York and Singapore in Equity Research, Investment Banking Division, and Principal Investment Area. He earned a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School.
